Where would the world be without inventions. Most of what we've originally came from some ones ideas and dreams. The slot machines are no different. It is not likely that the inventor of this innovative, peculiar and sometimes addictive device ever thought just how popular it will become.
The original slot-machines were not made with allowing any type of enumeration. Theyre in reality designed to plainly display poker hands. They're manufactured in 1891 and consisted of no more than 5 drums. When these're bought and utilized in places of business, the owners wanted to become innovative as well. To encourage the use of these gadgets they would provide their individual prizes. Nothing elaborate mind you like the hefty jackpots that they now pay out. The winner usually would get a free drink or two for his attempts. The slot machines had caught on and there is no stopping them from this period on.
The actual 1st true slot-machine as we know it today in similarity was the Liberty bell version that was invented in the basement of Charles Fey. Even though amusing and challenging they genuinely did not become very famous until they showed up on the famous Las Vegas Strip at the Flamingo Hotel. The Liberty Bell did however give a pay-out of 50 cents which's pretty damn good back in those days.
The slot machines grew in interest and design over the years. One original machine had photos of different types of chewing gum photographs on it's reels. This is where the cherry and melon symbols were born from. Some years ago the Bell Fruit Gum Company had a bar logo. So you could guess how the slot machine ended up with this symbol which's still well-known until today.
Its simply a matter of time before the slot machine became electric and the very first one was addressed Money Honey. This was not all that long ago and in reality took place in 1964 slot machines and the later to come fruit-machines were merely abounding with some other symbols to add to the intrigue and interest of the game. It's this Money Honey machine that made the first pay outs of up to 500 coins automatically without having to depend on an attendant to deal with the transaction.
Eventually along came the very first video slot in 1996. This slot allowed for a 2nd screen bonus round. It is called Reel Em In.
In nowadays casinos you'll find a really big range of choice of slot-machines. From single barrels up to twenty plus barrels. Although much more complex in design then when they're originally made it does not take away from the excitement that is experienced after all those years ago.
It is impressive how some thing that was just constructed in the basement of an individuals garage could be such a booming business today. Can you think what the casinos will be like without these machines? There sure will be lesser people gambling.
